More Babies For Angelina Jolie?

Updated on August 24, 2011

Beautiful Angie

Angelina Jolie is a celebrity who fascinates the public with her unique blended family. I know that many families have both biological and adopted children. The Jolie-Pitts are unique because they are fabulously wealthy and therefore financially capable of flying around the world adopting children from faraway lands.

Many wealthy people may donate money to world-hunger organizations or devote their time to building schools or representing charity causes, but Angelina takes this to a more personal level.

I know that these children are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of children who live in poverty and neglect each year, but maybe her desire to take care of children will inspire others to follow her example.

Take a look at this short video with music from Youtube with great family pics of the Jolie-Pitt clan.

Pregnancy Complications Delay Women's Plans

OK Magazine reports that Angelina Jolie's last two pregnancies had so many complications that she's been advised to wait at least a year  before getting pregnant again, if ever.

An insider tells OK that "Her previous pregnancies ended with emergency cesarean secions," and "it would be safer if she did not get pregnant, ever."

Of course, as mothers who have been through pregnancies, we know that most ob/gyns will advise women to wait a year before getting pregnant, especially if a mother is breast-feeding.  And c-sections are common place when a mother has had a previous c-section.  Perhaps in France, VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section) is more common that in the United States, but insurance companies have basically refused to cover VBACs due to the risk of complications here in the USA.

The Illness and Loss of a Parent Changes Us Dramatically

I once had a professor in college who helped me through my grieving process after I lost my father to a fast-moving cancer called mesothelioma. He told me to look at my life as a "rebirth" of sorts. There was the person before my father died. Then, another after his death.

The death of a parent is never easy. But, the untimely death of a parent can change a child profoundly. Angelina Jolie's mother died from the insidious disease that is cancer. Cancer kills without mercy. Many adult children who lose parents to this disease are changed remarkably. Instead of looking inward, many look outward toward their own families in order to cope with the loss.

The loss of Angelina's mother must have had a profound effect on her life. As an Ambassador to the U.N., she has been in the unique position to channel her mother's spirit into her life. We try to keep the spirit of our lost loved ones alive.

BREAKING NEWS!!  ANGELINA PREGNANT WITH BABY #7!!!

The desire for more children often puts Mothers at health-risks.  Despite medical advice, Angelina is pregnant again.  This will be her third biological pregnancy and 4th biological child.  She has three children by adoption.  We can only wish her and happy and healthy pregnancy.  Good luck Angie!

The Controversial Image of Ms. Jolie

Over the years, Angie has been very forthright and honest with the public.  Somehow, she has been able to reveal extremely private aspects of her personal life, but retain the ability to keep the public at a mysterious arm's length.  The New York Times recently ran an article about Angie's "carefully orchestrated image", especially in relation to the selling of her twin's baby pictures.  Brad Pitt shot back in a recent Rolling Stones article defending her saying   "It sounded to me like the story made Angie out to be manipulative in some way," he says. "She is savvy."  He went on to say "I get defensive. [They're] talking about not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think she's as honorable as anyone I've ever met."  But, you can't deny that she has a shrewd way of using the press to her advantage.  With fame comes great power.  She seems to be using it to her advantage.  I ask myself...how is it bad for a female actress to manipulate the media?  Don't we have teams of Public Relations agencies who do this for a living for politicians, public figures, athletes and the corporate world?  I see Angelina Jolie as a distinctly American woman.  She is strong, independent, opinionated, emotional, goal-oriented, hard-working, courageous, nurturing and yes,  maybe self-righteous and manipulative.   What's not to love?
